It is the #1 rated whole-home filter removing more than 95% of particles ranging in size down to 0.3 microns. It is effective against household allergens that can aggravate asthma and respiratory illnesses. It also attacks germs like viruses, bacteria and mold. The carbon feature helps neutralize odors in the home.
The MERV (minimum efficiency reporting value) rating of a filter describes the size of the holes in the filter that allow air to pass through. The higher the MERV rating (categories range from 1–16) the smaller the holes in the filter and the better the filtration.
